Ayesha C. Durrani is an Associate Attorney at Givens & Johnston, PLLC, where she combines a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks with a results-driven approach, making her a trusted advisor for importers and exporters navigating the complex landscape of U.S. customs and international trade law.
Ayesha began her career with the firm as a Customs and International Trade Law Clerk and now focuses her practice on high-stakes matters including IEEPA refund litigation, antidumping and countervailing duty investigation scope issues, and vessel repair duty compliance and disputes. She adeptly handles IEEPA Reciprocal and Fentanyl Refunds, Sections 232, 122, and 301 protests, tariff classification and valuation issues, prior disclosures, enforcement actions (petitions, penalties, seizures, and forfeitures), and the development of robust import/export compliance programs. Drawing on her judicial clerkship at the First Court of Appeals—Ayesha provides strategic, detail-oriented representation before U.S. Customs and Border Protection and other administrative agencies. as well as the Court of International Trade.
Ayesha earned her Juris Doctor cum laude from South Texas College of Law Houston, where she served as Chief Comment Editor and Articles Editor of the South Texas Law Review and participated in the USPTO Trademark Clinic. She also holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Texas School of Public Health and a B.A. from Tulane University. Fluent in English and Urdu, with conversational Spanish, she brings an interdisciplinary perspective and cultural fluency that strengthens her ability to mitigate legal risks and deliver practical solutions for a diverse global clientele.
Outside International Trade Law, Ayesha enjoys gardening, interior design, and marveling at the Periodic Table of Elements.
